Tora sensed her surroundings, sometimes moving her head. "Is there rushing water? It's making my vibrations funny...What's here?"

"Yes, the water fall is on the far side of here, along with a strange lake that has never frozen, like the oasis." I looked around myself. "There is also a sculpture of a previous princess. Her name was Yue. It is said she is the Moon Spirit now. Her statue has never melted either, not even with the fire of the most experienced Fire bender."

"Yue," Tora repeated. "Was she...pretty? Her hair seems up, and flowing dress...she seems...gentle."

"She was..Some say the most beautiful girl in the Northern water tribe at one point. Her father was saddened by the loss of her but rejoiced in the fact that she helped save all of water bending and her tribe."

Tora stared at the statue. "One thing I'm glad about...about being blind...is that I don't have to care what I look like. It doesn't really...matter. I'd say you are, but I can't see most of you. Your face is mostly a blur...but what I can see is pretty."

I smiled at her. "Thank oyu, though I could never compare with her...being the Moon Spirit now and all.." I stared up at the moon.

"Everyone can compare," Tora said, "it just depends on what you are comparing." She looked to her hands, resting on her lap. I probably can't compare to her or Karena in beauty, let alone the other girls in my dream...

I looked over at her. I guess being blind she never got to see herself or another. "Have you ever seen the Oasis?" I asked her.

"I can't see," Tora mumbled. Speaking louder, she added, "I've never been there."

I mentally hit myself. "Then you must come with me." I led her from my home to the oasis.

"I...don't usually get to speak with anyone...No one will even try and speak to the Princess. I can't ever have any friends due to my title. But you...even though you knew something was different you spoke to me.." I sighed.

"Odd things happened to me. I'm used to it." Tora bit her lip for a moment before going on. "I've met...odd people, gone through hard experiences. You learn to deal with it."

"I think it's good that you get out of the...palace? Wherever your royals live. Freedom is a great thing." Tora followed Karena's gaze, "seeing" better from less interference.

"I showed my father how good I was with bending, that is why I am allowed out. But the guards still stay close.." I looked over at where i knew they were.

"I'm glad I don't know my ancestors and if I have royal blood. All I remember is when..." She let the sentece trail off, unfinished. She never liked talking about her past.

"The Firebenders killed my parents when I was young." She moved a finger to tap the corner of her eye. "I was blinded that day."

"Oh.." I never saw such darkness and evil...I never knew the true depth of the war on the outside. "That's horrible..." I had no idea what to say to her.

"It took me a while to get used to the darkness, and a good while to sense my surroundings and sort of 'see' what's going on." Tora chuckled. "But don't feel bad. It's life...isn't it?"

"I guess it is.." I thought of how my mother had been taken from me when I was younger. Life had a plan for us all did it not? "I think I may want to travel this world...meet people like you. Fascinating and strong."

"I always wanted to sail, but since I'm blind...I wouldn't know where I'm going. Or...I'd travel with you, if you want." Tora said. "There's really nothing for me at the Southern Water Tribe."

"If I were to leave with you they would say you kidnapped me...I am not to leave here.." I sighed. I wanted to leave so badly.
